I'm Matt, the Founder and one of the Editors from Gener@tion Magazine
And this is our Deviant Art Magazine Page.
If you're reading this message, perhaps you've stumbled across my page, or maybe I've sent you a message about submitting your art to our magazine. Either way... here's a bit about us.
First of all:
Link to our website
(our .com website will be up within weeks)
What is Gener@tion Magazine?
Generation Magazine is a soon to be alternative magazine originating in the Fredericksburg Virginia area.
(We hope to be coming out with our first issue Mid-Late Summer!!)
By "alternative"
We mean a magazine that focuses primarily on art, writing, and people.
Our magazine will feature such things as:
Art
(Any and all. Graphic Design, Photography, Modeling, Canvas art, tattoos...etc... we don't discriminate! WE LOVE ART!!!)
Writing
(Everything from opinions to poetry as well as fiction and non-fiction... again, ANY form of expression through writing.)
Local Amature Modeling
Music, Book, and Game Reviews
A diverse opinions column
Local band interviews and reviews
News from other countries
(And perhaps opinions from other countries, too!)
Upcoming activities in and around the Fredericksburg Area
Random Facts
Alternative Fashion
A Comic Book Strip
Polls.
And much more.
It's important to understand, that while Gener@tion Magazine will be primarily a local magazine, we do plan to spread as far as we can. We have distributors who will be working in other states, as well.
Therefore we accept art and writing from ALL OVER THE WORLD!

Other things you should know when submitting to Gener@tion Magazine
Anything you submit to Gener@tion Magazine will be copyrighted in YOUR OWN NAME. You have all rights to your work, and we make no claim over it
Also, when making the spreads and getting ready for production Gener@tion Magazine will be with you 100% of the way. We'll let you know what's going on, and keep in close contact with you. When we have the first copy of the spread made, YOU will be the one approving it and making sure all your info is right... if you don't agree with how we've done something, you can let us know, and we'll work with you. Guaranteed!
Remember, we can't make a magazine without the help of the people. So if you don't agree with something, it does us no good.
What we look for:
Art work
(of ANY kind, but something that you can look at and FEEL something about, and truly appreciate)
Writing
(also of ANY kind. Something that can provoke thought, beauty, emotion.)
(poetry, short stories, all sorts of prose, opinons even rants-- all accepted! and wanted!)
Reviews or recommendations for music, books, and video games.
(new...and old)
News and opinions from other countries.
Advice articles
(health, beauty, sex life... anything!)
We want to be as diverse as possible. Don't worry about us rejecting anything.... it probably won't happen! Anything you submit, even if we end up being to full for one issue, can ALWAYS be used in future issues
With all that said,
We are Gener@tion Magazine
And we are open for submissions!
We hope you take this opportunity at the chance to be seen, and be apart of something great.
We're very serious, and very excited about this.
We hope you are too!
